New Life Phase Part 2

We are now in FL and starting that new life phase.....we are in our house and trying to find new places for our things....we now realize some things are going to have to go....and that is ok. At the moment it sort of feels like vacation....especially with Thanksgiving this week and then we'll be going back to TX in Dec for a week or so for the wedding of Julie & Colt. Then shortly after that Christmas so maybe in Jan things will settle into more of a routine. We'll be attending Clayhouse Baptist Church. Attending rather than expected to be in charge.....that will be different. We are still in the process of becoming Floridians....we now have FL DLs, our one car is registered and a FL title is applied for. We will be getting hooked up to city water in a month or so. Maybe I'll have time to blog a little more....read, finish a quilt I started about 28 years ago! We'll see what this phase has to offer.

New Life Phase

We are about to set out on what could be the final phase of our life....we hope to never have to move again....but only the Lord knows if that is true.  It is very difficult to cull out and throw away what really amounts to a life's work.....we realize that no one else would want or could use all this material....but it is still difficult to let it go. It seems you are throwing away what amounts to YOUR LIFE! We are excited and scared at the same time....excited for the adventure of it all and scared because of the sudden, drastic cut in income that will occur...no more gadgets....no more going some where on the spur of the moment....a lot less eating out! (that could be a good thing hahaha).....more planning! We know we have at least one more trip to make this year.....Julie & Colt's wedding......There will be a lot of work to get us settled when we get there....new medical insurance, driver's license, auto insurance, new places to shop....registering to vote.....(we need major change in our government) and the list goes on.

We so appreciate all the labor that has gone in to our 'project' house....thanks Mike & Laurie and all their helpers. (including Mr Ribble). We appreciate the lawn mowers! (not sure who all that included....Steve & Derek).

Good Labor Day Morning to y'all.....I have a lot I NEED to do today.....but whether that happens today we will see.....There are 2 hanging plants on my front porch/walk way that are DEAD and need to be removed....I want to put some fall color in them....that would mean a trip to Wally World or Lowes.....also my JUNK closet needs to be down sized.....but that may too big a task for one day!.....also I have ironing to do.....so I may just SIT and think about those tasks...hahaha......I really have about 2 or 3 months work facing me and since I work the rest of the week well......you see what I mean!

Hope Ed and Angie are moved by now or at least most of it moved.....I need to get their new address for my book.

Y'all have a great relaxing day.

Bits & Pieces...

So glad Ed & Angie got their house.....they have a month to get every thing ready and moved in....work on our house is progressing....from the pics it is looking good.....we have 2 1/2 more months here....I need to do a lot more cleaning and condensing!

Stella Oliver passed away Saturday morning....we will go to her funeral tomorrow. I will have to work until 1:30 P.M. (if I can get off work). Pray from Bro Bobby....he's not sure what he will do next. He still owns his house in Tooele, UT.

My work has been terrible.....new software for scheduling and registering patients, we also have to enter pymts (co-pays and non-insured patient pymts) on this system.....with all the steps involved it takes for EVER! The Docs are getting upset, we can't get the patient back to be seen quick enough and they get behind which slows things down even more...patients become IMpatient and complain....so it is a vicious cycle! Just repercussion after repercussion. The only thing that keeps me going is it is for just 2 more months!

Storm

We had a bad storm last night...start of church delayed due to extremely high winds....hugh limbs blown from the trees on the church property.....I am opening this week at work....which means I try to leave the house by 6:20....this morning we awoke about 3:45/4:00 to a storm raging.....I got up at 4:30 got ready for work....I leave about 6:20 it is raining very hard, before I get to work (a 10 minute drive) I can hardly see the rain is coming in sheets....when I get to the office building....it is totally dark....no power. I finally get up the 3 flights of stairs in the dark....get into the office 1 doc is there....NO POWER....nothing works....we call the office manager....she finally gets there another doc and a couple more workers arrive...they decide we will go home and try to come back at 1PM....Manager calls answering service from cell and let them know what has happened and our plans...the docs are so nice they used their cell phones and called all their patients.....I leave the house at 12:15 to be at the office to get a few things done before opening the doors....again it is raining!....thundering and lightening!.....by the time I get to the office the rain is coming in sheets and after I park I am waiting for the rain to subside I can feel the car rocking with the wind! But finally we open the doors and see about 20 patients this afternoon.....After supper tonight we cleaned up a few loose limbs, but will need help getting the the trees cut up and out of our yard and off of the fence. Sorry this was so long.
